Lions Stumble in Midweek Matchup At RIT

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team couldn't overcome a second half penalty kick score by RIT, falling 1-0 on the road Wednesday evening.

Key Moments:
* The Tigers found themselves at a disadvantage early as their starting forward Jake Donahue received a red card in the 14th minute, forcing them to play a man down for the rest of Wednesday's contest
* Behrend's best scoring chance in the first half came off a long ball to Johnathan Swann (Allison Park, PA/North Allegheny) but his shot was sent just wide
* Both teams went into halftime deadlocked at zero
* RIT broke the scoreless tie with a penalty kick goal 10 minutes into the second frame
* In the 55th minute, a Tiger was fouled inside the box which led to the eventual game winner from Idriss Diallo
* The Lions had a chance for the equalizer in the 63rd minute, but back-to-back shots from Swann and Chris Profaca (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) were blocked by RIT's defense
* Behrend nearly found the back of the net in the 69th minute off a corner kick; however, the play was whistled dead due to Lions player being offside
* Once again, the Lions made a late push to get out of Rochester with a draw, but a pair of shot attempts in the 87th and 88th minutes were sent off target
* Swann tallied a game-high four shots for Behrend, while Diallo and Adrian Sobczak each tallied three shots
* In net, Evan Dougal (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) and Jason Trapp finished with four saves apiece
* The Lions outshot the Tigers 12-11 with eight of their shots coming in the second half and had an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks
