ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team defeated Thiel 8-1 in non-conference action on Friday night at Westwood Racquet Club.

Noteworthy:

* The Lions won all three doubles and five singles matches 
Mitchell May (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek), Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) and Mason Harbaugh (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) won in both doubles and singles
* May and Laier were 8-2 winners at No. 1 doubles
* May was a 6-0, 6-4 winner at No. 2 singles and Laier led the pack wiht a 6-2, 6-0 decision at the No. 1 singles spot
* At No. 2 doubles, Harbaugh teamed with Max Lu (Plum, PA/Plum) for an 8-6 victory 
* Harbaugh got his second win at No. 3 singles, posting a 6-0, 6-1 decision
* Evan Dean (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) and Alex Graeca (DuBois, PA/DuBois) completed the doubles sweep at the third spot, winning 8-1
* The final singles wins against were by Matthew McCullough (Penfield, PA/Dubois) and Ethan Hillhouse (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek)
* McCullough was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at No. 5 singles, while Hillhouse won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6
