ERIE, Pa. – Sophomores Meghan Petitte (Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) and Abby Tingley (Union City, PA/Union City) were named to the 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region Team.
Petitte was selected to the Second Team as an outfielder and Tingley landed on the Third Team in the pitcher position. Both were recently named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) First Team. Petitte also earned AMCC Player of the Year and Tingley was voted Pitcher of the Year.
Petitte is earning her first All-Region honors. She finished first on the team in batting average (.433), hits (58) and RBIs (39). Petitte was second in doubles (12), triples (5) and home runs (4). She had 18 multiple-hit games and 12 multiple-RBI games. Petitte also tallied a .472 on-base percentage and a .687 slugging percentage in 42 games played.
Tingley is also earning her first All-Region accolades this season. She ranks 34th in Division III statistics with a 1.35 ERA. Tingley tallied an 18-5 overall record in the circle, pitching a team-best 134.1 innings and allowing just 26 earned runs in 25 appearances. She fanned 94 batters and went undefeated in AMCC action (9-0). She recorded five shutouts in 16 complete games and only walking 16 for a .95 WHIP.
