FREDONIA, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team had five players in double-digit scoring to defeat non-conference Fredonia 65-53 on Wednesday night.

* The Lions scored 16 points off turnovers and relied on 24 bench points to hand the Blue Devils their first loss
* Kara Haslett (Baden, PA/Ambridge) had a team-high 12 points, while four others chipped in 10 points
* Haslett also tallied a season-best seven assists to go with two steals
* Alexis Furyes (Medina, OH/Highland) pulled down a season-best 10 boards and added two blocks
* Near the end of the first quarter, Alanna Dibble (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) made a layup to give Behrend a 13-11 lead
* Lauren Mickey responded with a triple to end the period to give Fredonia a one-point lead
* Behrend outscored the Blue Devils 19-11 in the second to take the lead that would not relinquish
* The Blue Devils back within four in the fourth quarter at 48-44 on another three-pointer
* The Lions held Fredonia to two points over the next five minutes to get a double-digit lead at 56-46 with 5:34 left to play
* Dibble finished with 10 points and six rebounds, while Mia Cuccaro (Clinton, PA/Oakland Catholic) handed out four assists
