Women's Swimming Holds Off Wheeling

WHEELING, WV – Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) won two individual events and one relay to help the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team defeat Wheeling 132-271 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* The Lions had a 10-point lead heading into the final 400 freestyle relay
* Wheeling placed first but Behrend placed second and third to register a total of six points for the four-point victory in the dual meet
* Watters led with first-place finished in the 100 backstroke (1:03.33) and the 200 backstroke (2:14.27)
* Watters also swam with Hanny Shen (Tegucigalpa, Honduras/ Academia Los Pinares), Jayden Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Emily Russell (Oil City, PA/Oil City) to win the 400 medley relay in 4:24.14
* Marin O'Lone (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) was the first to touch in the 100 free (59.83) and Madelyn King (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown) had the final victory for Behrend in the 200 IM (2:26.18)
