Women's Swimming and Diving Claims a Pair of Championships

ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship and the Allegheny-Empire Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center on Saturday night.  

Combined Women's Scores: 1. Penn State Behrend (1090.50), 2. Nazareth (1050), 3. Alfred State (825), 4. Hartwick (796), 5. Alfred (509), 6. Penn State Altoona (469), 7. Pitt-Bradford (230.50) 8. Wells (157)

Noteworthy:

* The Behrend Lions captured their 13th overall title
* Behrend edged Nazareth by 40.5 points to win their first-ever Allegheny-Empire Championship
* Lauren Stephens (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was named the AMCC Diver of the Meet and head coach Jen Wallace earned Allegheny Empire Coach of the Meet
* In addition to winning the 1-meter board, Stephens won the 3-meter board with a score of 328.60
* Camyrn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) broke three records on her way to winning the 200 backstroke
* Watters clocked in with a time of 2:06.33 to break the team record, AMCC Open and Meet records
* Isabel Sheridan (Allentown, PA/Parkland) was also an AMCC Champion, claiming the 1650 free (18:26.78) while Aliya Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) placed third (18:48.99)
* Jadyn Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) took second in the AMCC and overall in the 200 butterfly (2:16.73) and Becca Krenzer (Grove City, PA/Grove City) was fourth in the AMC in the 100 free (55.95)
* Krenzer, Watters, Danylko and Samantha Sebulak (Erie, PA/McDowell) made up the final 400 free relay team that placed second in the AMCC and third overall with a time of 3:41.68
