ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving freshman Lauren Stephens (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Diver of the Year, while Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) earned Newcomer of the Year honors, announced on Wednesday.
Head coach Jen Wallace received her seventh Coach of the Year accolades with the women. She led the team to their 13th overall AMCC Championship and first Allegheny Empire Championship.
Stephens was the AMCC Champion in the one-meter and three-meter diving events at the Empire-AMCC Championships this past weekend. Watters was a two-time individual champion in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke, while swimming on the first-place 200 medley relay. She also earned Second Team honors in three relays and the 50 freestyle.
