Behrend Women's Tennis Falls 5-4 to Frostburg State Bobcats

On Friday, September 11, the Penn State Behrend Lions (2-3, 1-1) lost a tough 5-4 match to Frostburg State (3-1, 2-0) at the Westwood Racquet Club.

Penn State Behrend earned wins at second singles as Stephanie Cattron (Greenville/Commodore Perry) defeated Vikki Stafford 6-3 and 6-1, and at fifth singles behind Karen Hobaugh's (Kutztown/Kutztown) 6-0, 6-1 victory against Liz Coblentz.

Hobaugh teamed with junior Erin Bliley (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep) in second doubles to win 9-7 as did Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) and Leslie Durante (Fairview/Fairview) by an identical 9-7 margin. 

Next up for the blue and white will be the Behrend Invitational on Saturday, September 12. Behrend will face Geneva at 10:00 a.m. and then square off with Bethany at 1:00 p.m. on the Behrend Courts.
