Penn State Behrend Lions Women's Tennis Cruises Past Altoona, 8-1

On Saturday, September 19, the Penn State Behrend Lions defeated Penn State Altoona in an AMCC women's tennis match by an 8-1 score.

Behrend improves to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in league play, while Altoona is now 3-2 in the AMCC.

Penn State Behrend's Arica Christman (Sharon/Sharon) picked up 6-1 and 6-4 wins at top singles. She paired with Stephanie Cattron (Greenville/Commodore Perry) to win 8-3 at first doubles. Cattron also won 6-2 and 6-0 at second singles.

Senior Karen Hobaugh's (Kutztown/Kutztown) and junior Megan Finchbaugh (Edinboro/General McLane) each won in singles and doubles.

The Behrend Lions have won six straight matches. Next up for the blue and white will be three more at home on the Behrend courts. On September 23, Behrend will host La Roche and on September 29, Pitt-Bradford will come to town.
