On Wednesday, September 23, the Penn State Behrend Lions defeated the La Roche Redhawks in an AMCC women's tennis match by a score of 9-0. Behrend improves to 9-3 overall and 5-1 in league play

Penn State Behrend's Arica Christman (Sharon/Sharon) picked up 6-1 and 6-1 wins at top singles. Stephanie Cattron (Greenville/Commodore Perry) won 6-0 and 6-3 in the number two spot in singles.

Senior Christy Calvert (Warren/Mercyhurst Prep) and junior Hillary Lasher (Lakewood/Southwestern) won in doubles by a score of 8-0.

The Behrend Lions are currently on a seven match win streak. Next up for the blue and white will be two home matches on the Behrend courts. On September 29, Behrend will host Pitt-Bradford in an AMCC matchup and on September 30, Grove City will come to the Behrend courts.
