ERIE, Pa. – The Grove City women's tennis team handed Behrend just its third loss of the season, defeating the Lions 8-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wolverines (6-1) won each doubles match by an identical score of 8-2 across the board and then going on to post victories in five of the six singles competition for the win.

Arica Christman (Sharon, PA/Sharon) and Stephanie Cattron (Greenville, PA/Commodore Perry) had their matches go into three sets. Christman battled back from a one-set deficit to win the second 7-6 and then falling in the third, 7-6.

Cattron had a similar story, falling in the first set but she won the final two 7-5, 7-6 for the lone Behrend victory.

The Lions return to action Saturday at the Goucher Tournament, beginning at 9 a.m.
