Women's Tennis Earns AMCC Win Over Pitt-Bradford

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team earned their second straight win of the season with a 9-0 decision over Pitt-Bradford in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday at Westwood Racquet Club.

* The Behrend Lions spoiled the Panthers season opener with a convincing conference win
* Audra Carnes (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and Sara Howard (Ashtabula, OH/Edgewood) did not give up a set point for the singles win at the No. 4 and No. 6 spot, respectively
* The duo also teamed up for an 8-1 No. 3 doubles victory
* Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and Marissa Bowles (South Orange, NJ/Columbia) recorded 6-0, 6-1 wins for the Lions
* Jasinski was in the top singles spot, while Bowles was second
* Jada Donatien (Brooklyn, NY/Millburn) pulled off a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles and freshman Emily Roman (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) completed the sweep in singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 5
* Jasinski and Roman were also 8-5 winners at No. 2 doubles
* Bowles and Donatien tallied the same doubles score in the top spot to sweep Pitt-Bradford
