GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team won their third straight match, posting an 8-1 win over Thiel in non-conference action on Tuesday.

* Behrend improves to 3-1 when playing on the road and 4-2 overall
* The Lions started the match with a pair of doubles wins
* Lindsey Kerlin (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield Area) and Keri Saulino (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) blanked Emily Peters and Mei Williams at No 2 doubles, 8-0
* Madison Gannon (Union Springs, NY/Union Springs) and Madalynn Perry (Warren, PA/Warren) only gave up two set points to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles
* All six players who competed in doubles action won their singles matches
* Kerlin, competing at No. 1 singles for the first time this season, did not give up a set point to win 6-0, 6-0
* Saulino surrendered one point at No. 4 singles, while Perry won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6
* Jayna Baer (Pittsburgh, PA/Moon) fought to a tiebreaker set at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-4, 11-9) and  Rachel Fleming (Saint Marys, PA/Saint Marys) got the win at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-3)
* Gannon picked up the final win at No. 5 singles, defeating Morgan Gerber 6-2, 6-1
