Women's Volleyball Wins Sixth AMCC Championship; Lions Defeat Alfred State

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team recorded a season-high .458 hitting percentage to down Alfred State 3-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship match on Sunday afternoon in the Junker Center.

* The Lions claimed their sixth overall and second straight AMCC Championship
* Maddie Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) and Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) were named to the All-Tournament Team
* Reiland and Brooke Joncas (Corry, PA/Corry) each tallied double-digit kills for Behrend
* Reiland continues to lead in the attack with 15 kills on 21 attempts with two errors for a .619 attack percentage

* There was two lead changes in the first and second set with Behrend falling behind early and then never looking back once taking the lead again

* Joncas registered a kill at 20-14 and then served the final three points, getting two aces and an Alfred State attack error to help Behrend go ahead 2-0
* The Lions had their best set in the third, hitting .500 and serving up three aces including match point thanks to Dani Kosslow (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park)
* Behrend has now handed the Pioneers two of their three losses this season
* Kosslow collected 37 assists, while Clapper added a team-best nine digs
* Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) tallied six kills and three block assists in the win
