Lions Take Down Mounties in Overtime

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team took down Mt. Aloysius in overtime to earn a 66-55 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) victory on Saturday.

Score:  Penn State Behrend 66, Mt. Aloysius 55

Records: Penn State Behrend (12-5, 9-3 AMCC), Mt. Aloysius (9-8, 6-6 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Lions and Mounties were neck and neck the entire game, forcing overtime
* Julian Stover made a layup with 23 second left in regulation to tie the game
* Behrend had the ball in the remaining seconds but were unable to take a lead
* In overtime, the Lions came out hot
* Derrick Clark (Erie, PA/Central Tech) scored followed by a Devin Pope (Ripley, NY/Chautauqua Lake) three-pointer to take a quick five point lead in the first minute
* Behrend outscored Mt. Aloysius 15-4 in overtime
* The Mounties went 1-for-6 from the field and 2-for-6 from the free throw line in the overtime period
* Kenny Fukon (Cranberry Twp., PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic) and Clark paced the Lions with 19 points each with Clark tallying a career-high five three-pointers
* Nate Christian led Mt. Aloysius with 19 points while Carlos Palacio had a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds
