Matt Colpoys joins the Behrend Lions for his second season as a Student Assistant Coach but for his fourth year overall being involved with Penn State Behrend Men’s Basketball. Colpoys is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral Prep where he was a two year varsity captain, first team All-District 10, first team All-Region, and also helped lead the Ramblers to the state semifinals in his senior season.

 

Matt was a two time letterwinner for the Behrend Lions in the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons and started every game before an injury late in his sophomore campaign forced Colpoys to retire from college basketball.

 

Colpoys will be graduating in December of 2018 with a degree in Finance. He served as the Vice President of Financial Reporting & the Lead Analyst of the Technology Sector for the Intrieri Family Student Managed Fund. He also served as the valuation specialist for the Behrend Investment Research Challenge team in the 2017-2018 academic school year as well as the Vice President of the Financial Management Association.

 

His future plans are to coach basketball at the collegiate level or in the National Basketball Association.
