Six Named to All-Conference

ERIE, Pa. – Six members of the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team have been named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) team, announced on Tuesday.

After a career year, Jake Gamble (Butler, PA/Butler) has been named to the first-team for the second consecutive year.  Gamble broke the school record for career points and goals while leading the team with 34 points on 15 goals and four assists.

Senior goalkeeper, Chris Bolea (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) has been selected to the first team for the second straight season.  He tallied 48 saves while posting a 1.54 GAA between the pipes.  Bolea was named the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season. 

Two more seniors rounded out the first team for the Lions.  Aaron Meehl (North East, PA/North East) and Kyle McKinney (Chesterland, OH/West Geauga) also repeated has first-team award winners.  Meehl netted six goals while dishing out four assists this season.  He hit the 50-career point plateau while surpassing 20 career goals. Meehl was also named to the second-team as a sophomore.  McKinney has been an anchor for the Behrend defense for four straight years.  He has currently played in 85 career games, ranking third all-time.  McKinney was named to the second-team as a sophomore.

Sophomore defender Eric Vunovic (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) earned second-team honors after dishing out a career high nine assists to rank second all-time for assists in a season.  He played in every contest while tallying 13 points.

Finishing out the post-season honors is Garrett Fiscus (Russell, PA/Eisenhower).  The sophomore was named to the third-team.  He scored two goals and recorded one assist this season while being a strong presence in the midfield.

Behrend will play in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday for the first time since 2007.  The Lions will take on Hobart in Oneonta, NY at 11 a.m.
