Behrend Men's Soccer Reaches New Heights in Rankings

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team moved up one spot in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Great Lakes Region rankings at No. 2 and is up six spots in the USC Division III National Coaches Poll at the No. 16 spot, announced on Tuesday.

The Lions have started the 2019 campaign with seven consecutive wins to be one of 10 teams in the Top 25 poll undefeated four weeks into the season. Behrend is behind John Carroll in the regional rankings for the top spot. The Blue Streaks are currently ranked third in the nation with a 7-0-1 record.

The regional and national rankings are the highest in program history.

The Lions recently defeated Mt. Aloysius on Saturday, 1-0, on a penalty kick in the 89th minute. Behrend returns to action tomorrow at Mt. Union. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
