Behrend Men's Tennis Continues to Roll With 8-1 Victory Over Frostburg State

The Behrend Lions have won their fourth straight match with an 8-1 victory over conference foe Frostburg State.  The blue and white improved to 7-7 overall and 3-0 in AMCC competition. 

The Behrend Lions would dominate the singles matches winning each of the six possible matches.  Shane Mosier (Kersey/St. Marys) would handle his opponent 6-0, 6-0 in number three singles. While James Getty (Erie/Harborcreek) would battle to win number four singles 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(10-4).   Rounding out the singles sweep was Kelly Manning (Sharpsville/Kennedy Catholic) who took number six singles 6-2, 6-2.

The blue and white would also get wins in number two and three doubles.  Getty would team with Erkin Nasirli (Baku/Baku Oxford School) to win number two doubles 8-1.  Manning would then team with John Michalko (Washington/McGuffey) to take number three doubles 8-4.

The Behrend men will finish their home stand as they take on conference rival Penn State Altoona in a 12:30 meeting on March 29.  The Behrend Lions will then play four of their final five matches on the road.
