ERIE, Pa. – Greg Naranjo recorded a game-high four goals while four others had two or more goals to lead Gannon over Penn State Behrend 16-7 in men’s water polo action on Sunday afternoon at the Junker Center.
Nic Pabich netted a hat trick and back-up goalie Chris Dunleavy made 13 saves for the Lions. Ali Khan tallied two goals and Nick Loukides and Colin McGarry each posted a goal in the loss.
The Knight used the third quarter to pull away from Behrend. Holding a 6-4 lead at halftime, Gannon outscored the Lions 7-2 in the third period to take a commanding 13-6 lead.
Behrend returns to action on Friday at the Convergence Tournament in California. The Lions face Cal Tech at 2:20 p.m.
