Shelby Lloyd begins her third season as the assistant coach for the women's soccer team this fall. Lloyd was a four-year standout for Penn State Behrend at the midfield position from 2011-2015.

Lloyd, a two-year captain, helped the Lions win four straight AMCC Championships and make four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The three-time All-AMCC performer was also named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. Her freshman year, she was named the team's Rookie of the Year after starting all 22 games and scoring three goals. In her four years, she led Behrend to a 56-28-4 overall record.  

Most recently, Lloyd spent a season as the head women's soccer coach at Beaver High School and with Stars United club team. She also worked for the Beaver Area school district. 

Lloyd received a bachelor of science in accounting in 2015 and earned her MBA at Behrend in 2018.
