ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team will open the 2023 season with a non-conference match against Geneva today at 4:30 p.m. on the Behrend Courts.

* The women posted a 9-8 overall record a year ago and a 4-1 mark in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) play
* Behrend advanced to the AMCC Championships last season, falling to Pitt-Greensburg
* The Lions return five All-Conference players from the 2022 season
* Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was selected to All-AMCC honors at No. 1 singles and doubles
* In singles, Jasinski tallied a 10-2 overall record and a 4-1 conference mark to be named to the second team
* Jasinski posted an 8-3 record at No. 1 doubles
* Jasinski was named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team for a second straight season
* The Lions began the 2022 season with a match against the Golden Tornadoes, falling 5-4
