ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend track and field team travels to Slippery Rock, PA on Thursday for the Slippery Rock Invitational.

* The Lions most recently competed at the Bill Lennox Invite at Slippery Rock last Friday
* Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) took home the silver medal in the 5000m run, running 15:45.00
* In the discus, Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harborcreek) got the silver medal with a throw of 43.49m
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) finished sixth in the 5000m run, running 20:12.01
* Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Fort Cherry) took tenth place in the javelin, leaping 29.59m
* The men's track and field team holds a fifth-place ranking in the Mideast Region of NCAA Division III and a first place CSAC rank
* The women hold down the third spot in the CSAC rankings
* Behrend ranks first in the Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) in 17 events
* Amory Coleman-Reeves (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) has top numbers in the 100m (11.10), 200m (22.44), and long jump (6.97m)
* Coleman-Reeves was named the CSAC Track Athlete of the Week for his performance last week
* Myers has the top finishes in both the 1500m run and 5000m run. He holds a time of 4:04.69 in the 1500 and 15:39.01 in the 5000
* On the women's side, Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) leads the pack in the 1500m (5:24.31) and the 5000m (20:12.01)
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) is ranked first in the pole vault (3.05m) and Emily Mischen (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) has a top finish in the shot put (11.40m)
