The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team rallied in the second half against Chatham on Saturday, March 28 in the Junker Pool but fell just short, dropping the game 8-7.

The blue and white found themselves down 6-2 at halftime, before rallying for five goals in the second half.  Behrend had possession as the fourth period wound down but could not get a good shot off and the rally fell short ending in a one-goal defeat.

Behrend sophomore Danielle Palski (Souderton, PA/Souderton) scored in the first period and added all three third period goals for the Behrend Lions for a team-high four-goal effort.  Also finding the back of the net in the first half was sophomore Tegan Boland (Boselle, IL/Conant) whose second period goal cut the Chatham lead to 5-2 with 4:02 left to play in the second period.

Behrend entered the fourth period down 8-5 but got a goal with 4:05 to play from freshman Amy Lawrence (State College, PA/State College) to make it a two-goal game.

Junior goalie Jenna Zeyfang (Erie, PA/Erie First Academy) stonewalled the Chatham offense in the fourth period, stopping numerous shot attempts without yielding a goal.

Behrend freshman Jillian Sebrosky (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) followed up with a clutch goal of her own to cut the Chatham lead to 8-7 with 1:39 to play in the game, but the blue and white could not get the equalizer and Chatham held on for the win.

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team (0-6) will be back in action quickly, with two games against local rivals on Sunday, March 29.  The Behrend Lions will first travel to North East for a 9:00 a.m. match with Mercyhurst and then will head back to the Junker Center pool for a 12:00 p.m. match against Gannon.
