Women's Bowling Falls to St. Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling team fell to St. Vincent in a 3-0 sweep in a match-play style on Tuesday night.

Despite having only three bowlers, the Lions battled in two traditional games and one Baker Match style format.

In the opening game, Hali Hartley (Seven Fields/Mars Area High School) led the Lions after rolling a 135, including two strikes and four spares. Bobbi Doubet (Cambridge Springs, PA/Cambridge Springs) and Bayleigh Adams (Manchester, NJ/Manchester) both bowled a 120 in the 687-375 loss.

Behrend rolled its best game of night in game two. Hartley continued her play by knocking down 173 pins, including three straight strikes to open the game. Doubet rolled a 132 while Adams ended the game with a score of 118. The Bearcats defeated the Lions 810-423 in the game.

The final game of the night was played as a Baker Match style. Harley led the way for the Lions for the third game of the night, recording a 12.6 baker average. Adams and Doubet each averaged a 12.0 and 11.1 respectively in the 646-376 defeat.

Behrend will be back in action on November 28 when they host St. Vincent for a rematch.
