Pilyih, Benke Earn All-AMCC Women's Bowling Accolades

ERIE, Pa. – Junior Bella Pilyih (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) has been named to the 2023 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women's Bowling Team, while head coach Steve Benke was voted Coach of the Year.

Pilyih is earning her first All-Conference honors and is the third player in program history to land on the All-AMCC team. She served as the anchor for the Lions this season, registering an overall average of 16.83, good enough for 13th in the AMCC. In baker format, she ranked 14th overall with a 17.159 average. In conference play, Pilyih finished with a 165.8 traditional average and a 177.2 baker average. She also ranked ninth overall in the player composite performance index (PCPI) with a 75.87 percent.

Benke helped the Lions post a 46-41 overall record and a 15-5 mark in conference play. Behrend secured its highest seed for the AMCC playoffs and finished in fourth place last weekend.
