ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team are back in action for the first time this Spring with the two-day Penn State Division III Challenge hosted by Penn State Altoona at the Penn State Blue/White Course in State College, Pa.

Weekend Schedule

* 36 holes at the Penn State Blue/White Course; State College, PA
* 18 holes on Saturday (shotgun start at 12 p.m.)
* 18 holes on Sunday (shotgun start at 10 a.m.)

Behrend News & Notes:

* The Lions are competing as a team for the first time since October 19, 2021
* Behrend will battle four other teams this weekend, including the host Penn State Altoona, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks and Pennsylvania College of Technology
* Last time out, the Lions placed second at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships
* The Lions placed three golfers on the All-AMCC Team
* Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) was selected to the first team, while Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) and Phil Pedano (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) were chosen to the second team
* Pol was the AMCC runner up at championships
* The Lions placed third at the 2021 Penn State Division III Challenge with a team score of 324
