CSAC Announces All-Academic Team Awards, Individual Honors

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's outdoor track and field team have been named the recipients of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Team Academic Awards for Spring 2023.

The CSAC Team Academic Award is given annually to each varsity sports team whose student-athletes, while competing in conference-sponsored sports, achieve the highest combined grade point average. Grade point average calculations correspond with the student-athletes' season of participation during the sport's traditional season. The Spring 2023 Team Academic Awards are based on each team's combined GPA from the Spring 2023 semester only.

The Lions swept the outdoor track and field awards. The men scored the top GPA with a 2.991 and the women had the highest GPA with a 3.315.

The CSAC also announced the Individual All-Academic Team. The student-athletes must meet all the NCAA Division III eligibility requirements, earn varsity status at their institution and receive a minimum GPA of 3.20 for the spring semester. The Behrend Lions had a combined 28 student-athletes named to the All-Academic Team (Men 16, Women 12).
