Senior Karen Hobaugh (Kutztown/Kutztown) has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR Athlete of the week for the week of October 12, 2009.

Hobaugh led an impressive Behrend Lions squad to three conference victories this past week by defeating D'Youville at home and then going on the road to defeat Frostburg State and Penn State Altoona.

The senior played in both doubles and singles matches and was victorious in all of her contests.  Against Frostburg, Hobaugh won her singles match by scores of 6-0 and 6-2.  She also teamed up in doubles to take the match by a score of 8-6.  Hobaugh went on to defeat her opponent in singles against D'Youville with scores of 6-1, 6-0 and Penn State Altoona 6-2, 6-2.  She also got a victory in doubles against Altoona by a tally of 8-1.

With the three victories, the blue and white are now 13-4 overall and are tied with Frostburg with the best record in the AMCC at 9-1.  The Behrend Lions will be at the AMCC Championships on October 17 and 18 which will be hosted at the Oxford Club in Wexford, Pa.
