Women's Tennis Dominates All-AMCC Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Junior Arica Christman headlined the AMCC all-conference awards, earning her third consecutive Player of the Year honors and two first-team accolades while head coach Jeff Barger was named Coach of the Year for the sixth straight season.

The Lions captured all but one first-team honor in singles and doubles competition. Christman was selected at both No. 1 singles and doubles, while her partner junior Stephanie Cattron was selected to first-team doubles and second-team singles at the second spot, even though she won the No. 2 singles championship.  

Senior Hillary Lasher was named to the first team at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles with Leslie Durante. Lasher and Durante are making their third appearance on the first team. Durante also was named at the fourth flight in singles.

Allison Quigley and Jade Buhite rounded out the first-team accolades for Behrend. Both teamed up at No. 3 doubles, while Quigley was selected at No. 5 singles and Buhite at the sixth spot. Quigley is earning her third all-conference recognition, after being named to the second-team doubles last season and first team in 2008.
