Women's Volleyball Splits at Lycoming Tip-Off Classic

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches at the Lycoming Tip-Off Classic, defeating Catholic 3-1 and then falling to Elizabethtown 3-1 on Saturday.

Behrend 3, Catholic 1 (25-19, 25-12, 21-25, 25-20)

Records: Penn State Behrend (13-7), Catholic (13-9)

Key Moments:

* Behrend took a 2-0 lead in the match before surrendering the third set and claiming the fourth
* The win marks the Lions seventh straight and longest winning streak this season
* Behrend did not commit any errors in the second set (11-0-24) for a .458 hitting percentage
* Senior setter Lexi Irwin (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) posted her second triple-double of the season with 36 assists, 12 digs and 11 kills. She also hit .579 with no errors on 19 attempts

* The Lions grabbed a quick 1-0 lead and then the Blue Jays won three unanswered sets
