Dr. Darcie Bradley (1989-93), a terrific two-sport athlete and Venango High School graduate, was an integral part of Behrend athletics. She was named Behrend's Female Athlete of the Year in 1993, and also was tabbed the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in her junior and senior years.

As the starting shortstop, she led the softball program to a pair of ECAC titles in 1992 and 1993. In 1993, she led the team to a 2-1 extra-inning championship victory and was named the Tournament MVP. She finished her softball career in 1993 as the NCAA's all-time stolen base percentage leader, earning 47 steals in 48 attempts. On the basketball floor in Erie Hall she led the 1991-92 women's basketball team to the College's first-ever ECAC championship. Bradley's leadership qualities and skills were instrumental in turning both the softball and basketball programs into winning programs in the early 1990s.
