Holly Greiner Jennings

Holly Greiner Jennings was a stellar soccer athlete and prolific goal scorer for Behrend from 2002-2006. Her offensive output is still the best to this day. Her 103 points and 42 goals ranks first in the record books. Greiner, a four-time All-Conference honoree, is also fourth in career assists (19). She led the Lions to back-to-back ECAC Tournament appearances.

Little did Greiner know when she scored 10 goals in her freshman year that it would lead to bigger things. Landing a spot on the All-AMCC second team, she scored nearly a third of the team’s goals, including four in the Lions’ 5-0 victory over Penn State Altoona. Greiner also added two assists to finish with 22 points for the season.
2003 was the season of giving for Greiner.

She was on par from the previous year, scoring nine goals, but also managed to dish out 10 assists on the team’s 52 goals, leading to a 12-7-1 record. The Lions advanced to the AMCC Championship game after defeating Pitt-Greensburg in the semifinals on penalty kicks.

Greiner scored nine goals during her junior year, helping Behrend improve to 14-6-1 and putting herself seven goals shy of breaking the school record for most goals scored (35).  The Lions posted an 8-1 record in conference action and made the program’s fourth trip to the ECAC Tournament.

In her senior year, Greiner exploded for 14 goals (fifth most in a season) to go with three assists for 31 points. She ranked fifth in the conference in goals while the team led the AMCC with 3.14 goals per game. Behrend did not lose a conference game and advanced to the ECAC Tournament for a second straight season. Greiner netted four game-winning goals and broke the school record for career goals on Oct. 11, 2005, in a 5-0 win over Pitt-Bradford in front of a home crowd. Ten years later, Greiner holds onto her career goals record with 42.
