2005 Women's Tennis

Coming off a sensational 2004 season, the Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team repeated the performance in 2005. The Lions posted their second-straight undefeated season in conference play at 6-0, before winning the AMCC Tournament and finishing with a 13-3 overall record.

No different than the year before, Allison Mudrey was champion at No. 1 singles, while Mindy Calvert claimed the second singles championship. Jenna Yankowski won third singles and Shelly Goodpastor was victorious at the No. 4 spot for the Lions. All four also won in doubles to earn AMCC first-team honors twice.

Susan Cooper and Amy Frizzell were All-Conference first-team selections for winning at No. 3 doubles and then garnered second-team accolades for being runner ups at No. 4 and 5 singles, respectively, at the AMCC Championships.

For a second straight year, Allison Mudrey earned Player of the Year honors and Jeff Barger was voted Coach of the Year.
