1992-93 Softball Team

The 1992-93 Penn State Behrend softball team capped the varsity athletic season with their second straight Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Regional Championship.

The Lions won a five-game playoff tournament held at Ursinus College by defeating Mary Washington 2-1 in eight innings in the championship game. Prior to that game, Behrend defeated Ursinus 3-2, then fell 5-4 to Mary Washington. On the second day of games, the Lions defeated Ramapo 7-4 and Mary Washington 10-2 to avoid elimination. Behrend then tallied its second straight win over Mary Washington for the title.

During the tournament, Darcie Bradley went 10-for-20 with three doubles, a home run, five runs and four RBIs to earn tournament MVP honors. The Lions finished the season 29-6 and was led by first-year head coach Paul Benim, ‘92 and assisted by Billy Graham.
