1993-94 Women's Basketball

The 1993-94 women’s basketball team became the first team in program history to land a playoff berth into the NCAA Tournament. With an experienced squad of six seniors, two juniors, four sophomores and one freshman, the regionally-ranked Lions defeated Denison in the first round 93-72 behind Wendy Ebinger’s team-high 29 points. Behrend ended its historic season in the next round against Capital, 96-75. The Lions finished the historic season with a 21-6 overall record. 
 
Senior center Anne Bonner was named to the GTE Academic All-America Team after leading the team with 16.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Seniors Becky Swartz and Wendy Ebinger also averaged double-digits with 11.4 and 11.2 points per game, respectively.
