2008 saw the Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team win their eighth Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship. The Behrend Lions roared to a 14-2 overall record, including a perfect 8-0 mark against AMCC foes.
Arica Christman was named the AMCC Player of the Year and head coach Jeff Barger earned AMCC Coach of the Year honors. Stephanie Cattron was named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year.
The Lions had 10 players named to the AMCC All-Conference First Team and two more picked up AMCC All-Conference Second Team honors.
