Ryan Uhl begins his first season as the full-time assistant baseball coach for the Penn State Behrend Lions.

A 2015 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Uhl received many baseball accolades. He was named First Team All-American, All-Atlantic Region, and All-PSAC. He holds the Crimson Hawks career records for home runs and slugging percentage along with the single season records in home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage, and total bases. Uhl also hold the single season home run record in the PSAC. He graduated with a bachelor of science in finance.

After graduation from IUP, Uhl was drafted in the 7th round of the MLB draft to the Seattle Mariners. He played first base for the Everett AquaSox who advanced to the Northwest League playoffs. Uhl then played for Arizona League champion Mariners.

In addition to his playing experience, Uhl spent one season as a volunteer assistant coach for the IUP Crimson Hawks and was a volunteer assistant for one year at California University of Pennsylvania. Uhl most recently was an assistant coach for the Martha's Vineyard Sharks, a collegiate summer baseball team.
