Niland Has Close Connection With Michigan's Beilein

While Syracuse grew into basketball prominence under Jim Boeheim in
the early 1980s with the emerging Big East, former high school and
community college coach John Beilein was cashing decent paychecks
in central New York City under the Carrier Dome shadows at Division
II Le Moyne College.
