BUFFALO, NY – The Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team
defeated D’Youville in the final game of the season 4-0
Wednesday.
Two quick goals in the first five minutes of the game were scored by the Lions (13-2-3, 9-0 AMCC) leading scorer Jake Gamble. The men would go on to score once more before the half. Aaron Meehl tallied his sixth goal of the year in the 27th minute to put Behrend up 3-0. Meehl would also record an assist later in the matchup.
In a slow second half, Lance Sabol found the back of the net to end the game at 4-nil. Jerry Tortella and Kyle McKinney would each complete the game posting two assists a piece.
Not much work for the Behrend defense as neither goalie Chris Bolea or Shane Lee recorded a save.
Gamble has scored a game winner in each of the past three games and looks to continue that trend as the Lions head into the playoffs.
