COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team flew out west to face McMurry in the Colorado College Tournament and made it worth the trip, posting a 2-0 decision for their third straight win of the season on Friday afternoon.
The Lions (3-0-1) were able to hold a 19-12 shot advantage and capitalizing on one of them, while the other was an own goal. Lance Sabol netted the lone goal for Behrend off an assist from Jake Gamble.
The first goal was scored by McMurry in the 19th minute, but going in favor of the Lions. That lead held up a Behrend added an insurance goal at the 62:34 mark thanks to Sabol.
The Lions return to action on Sunday against Colorado College. Game time is 3 p.m.
