ERIE, Pa.- The Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team blanks Westminster 2-0 in non-conference play Saturday.

Brian Bodnar scored his first goal of the season thanks to a well played ball by Jerry Tortella to give the Lions (4-0-3) a 1-0 lead going into the break. Forward Jake Gamble, wanting a piece of the Titans (1-3-3) defense, added a goal which was assisted by Josh Teti that put the men ahead two-nil to start the second half.

The Lions defense led by Enterprise Defensive Player of the week, Kyle McKinney held Westminster to only 10 shots. In the net for the men was goalie Chris Bolea who in 90 minutes only needed to scoop up two saves.

Behrend will host John Carroll on Tuesday, September 21 at 4 p.m. to wrap-up their non-conference schedule before battling La Roche September 25.
