Josh Colley enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Penn State Behrend track and field program in 2018-19.

Prior to arriving in Erie, Colley served as a member of the University of Scranton's track & field coaching staff during the 2017-18 season.  During his time with the Royals, Colley worked with the sprinters and jumpers .  Colley had an integral role with the weight lifting programs for all track & field athletes during his stay at Scranton. He also assisted with identifying and evaluating potential recruits, as well as organizing on-campus recruiting visits.

During his athletic career at Widener, Colley was an NCAA Division III Indoor All-American in the long jump in 2016 and qualified for the NCAA Division III championships five times. He won the indoor and outdoor long jump championships in the Middle Atlantic Conference in both 20015 and 2017, and also won the indoor triple jump championship in 2017. A four-time Middle Atlantic Conference First Team selection, Colley holds Widener Universities record in the long jump with a leap of 7.25 meters. During his time at Widener, he helped the Pride in the indoor and outdoor conference championship in all four years, and was a team captain in 2016 and 2017. 
 
As a post collegiate athlete Colley competed in the long jump at the 2018 USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque New Mexico.
 
A graduate Tunkhannock High School in Tunkhannock, Pa., Colley completed his degree at Widener in 2017.
