ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team will begin its 2018 season on the road this weekend at the Washington & Jefferson Invite.  The Behrend Lions will play Gannon and Mercyhurst on Saturday September 1 at 11:10 am and 1:30 pm respectively.  On Sunday September 2 Penn State Behrend will take on Washington & Jefferson at 10 am.

* Head Coach Joe Tristan enters his 14th season as the head's men's and womenn's water polo coach at Penn State Behrend.
* Penn State Behrend topped Sunday's opponent, Washington & Jefferson, by a final score of 9-7 last year.
* Sophomore goalie Matt Olimski returns to help lead PSB.  Olimski was a two-time Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Newcomer of the Week last season.

* Mercyhusrt posted an overall record of 11-13 in 2017.

Noteworthy

* Penn State Behrend's B team will also be in action this weekend playing three exhibition contests.
* In Behrend's matchup against the Pittsburgh Renegades on Saturday September 1, sophomore Greg Kinzler will get the opportunity to compete against his dad, Greg Kinzler Sr.
