Men’s Cross Country Gears Up for AMCC Championships Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team will gear up for the 2018 AMCC Cross Country Championships this weekend.  This year's AMCC Championships will be hosted by Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. 

The 8k men's race will begin around 11:45 a.m., following the conclusion of the women's race.

* The Behrend Lions will look to claim their eighth straight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference cross country title this weekend.
* Penn State Behrend has won 11 AMCC cross country championships.
* PSB will go head-to-head with a stout Franciscan squad that has posted the top six times this year.
* Behrend Lion freshman Zachary Tingley recorded the best time this season for PSB, and the seventh-best in the AMCC, a 26:55 finish at the Oberlin Invitational earlier this month.
* Expect Penn State Behrend junior Chris Drozynski and sophomore Zach Wortman to be in the mix for a top time on Saturday as well.
