ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend pitcher Chad Zurat (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) has been named to the 2012 D3Baseball.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third-Team.

Zurat, who was named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) second team, led the team with a 1.91 earned run average in 37.2 innings of work.  The sophomore hurler struck out 48 batters and tied the school record for saves in a season with seven.

Behrend wrapped up the year with a 29-15-1 record, winning at least 27 games for the eighth straight season.  The Lions won the program’s third Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Championship by defeating Wesley, 13-10.
