Men's Soccer Ranked No. 9 in Great Lakes Region

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team earned a spot in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings on Tuesday.  The Behrend Lions were ranked No. 9 in the first Great Lakes Region poll of the 2018 season.

Penn State Behrend is undefeated this fall, owning a 3-0-1 record.  PSB has posted three straight shutouts, including a shutout victory over No. 24 John Carroll on Friday September 7.  The Behrend Lions also have wins over Houghton and Hiram this season.  

Seniors Chris Ralph (Murraysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and Ryan Maurer (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) have both won Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors this fall. Penn State Behrend has conceded just one goal in 2018.

Christian Eckberg (Pittsburgh, PA/Norwin) leads Penn State Behrend with two goals and four points.  Nick Schwarzel (South Park, PA/South Park) and Jason Angelo (Harborcreek, PA/Habor Creek) both have added one goal this year.
