Behrend Men's Tennis Poised for AMCC Championships

ERIE, Pa. – The No. 1 Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will face the No. 4 Pitt-Greensburg in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Semifinals on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.

Penn State Behrend News & Notes:

* The Lions enter the championship as the No. 1 seed
* Behrend went undefeated in conference play and were the AMCC Regular-Season Champions
* The Lions will be competing for their eighth AMCC Championship
* Behrend is looking for back-to-back titles, having won the championship last year
* The winner of the semifinals will advance to the championship match slated for Sunday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m.
* The champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament
* During the regular season, Ritvik Nadikude (Hyderbad, India/The Gaudium School) went a perfect 8-0 in conference play at No. 1 singles
* Nadikude is 17-2 overall at No. 1, while Jonathan Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) went 7-0 in AMCC action at No. 2 singles for a 13-5 overall mark
* Together, the duo tallied a 7-0 record at No. 1 doubles in conference play and were 16-2 overall

* The Bobcats finished 2-5 in the AMCC for the fourth seed
* Pitt-Greensburg's two conference wins were against Pitt-Bradford
