ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team won 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship match with a 5-0 win over Penn State Altoona on Sunday at Westwood Racquet Club.

Key Moments:

* The Behrend men's tennis team captured their eight overall and second straight AMCC Championships
* Mitchell May (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Mason Harbaugh (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) were named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team
* Over the weekend, the Lions did not give up a match point to hoist the championship trophy for the second consecutive season
* Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) and Ritvik Nadikude (Hyderabad, India/The Gaudium School) won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, before Harbaugh and Evan Dean (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) were victorious at No. 3 doubles (8-3)
* May and Aidan Piazza (Fairview, PA/Fairview) completed the doubles sweep at the No. 2 spot with an 8-4 decision
* Nadikude and Harbaugh were able to finish their singles matches to help Behrend claim the AMCC Title
* In the top spot, Nadikude won 6-1, 6-0 and Harbaugh was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at No. 4 singles
* The remaining four singles matches were unfinished
