Several Behrend Lions Earn Track & Field Event Regional Rankings

Several members of the Penn State Behrend men's track & field team have earned regional event rankings for top performances this season.  The individual rankings are compiled by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Behrend's Denny Kang (South Park/South Park) and Eston Winn (Erie/McDowell) both rank #1 in the Mideast Region in the pole vault event.  Kang, a sophomore, and Winn, a junior, have both cleared 15' 7.25" (4.76 meters) this season, to earn the top spot in the rankings.  Kang hit the mark on April 17 at the Westminster Invitational, while Winn matched the effort on April 30 at the Mason Dixon Conference Championships.

Behrend's Ronson Mazany (Ashville, NY/Panama Central) has earned three top-10 rankings.  The junior jumper is ranked third in the long jump, fifth in the triple jump, and ninth in the high jump.  Teammate Mike Stark (Gibsonia/Pine-Richland), also a junior, is ranked second in the decathlon and sixth in the pole vault.

The Behrend track & field team continues its season on May 20 at the SUNY Oneonta Invitational, a "last chance" meet before the NCAA Championships May 27-29.
